I’m sitting in a computer lab trying very hard not to laugh out loud at this shit. I seriously feel like this song/video is part of a practical joke, one in which record label heads decided to really test people’s stupidity. This girl’s name should be Captain Obvious. I’m not mad at her, bless her naive little heart for, hopefully, knowingly playing along. She sounds fucking terrible vocalizing in the beginning and her complete destruction of grammar in the end serves as the perfect cherry on top for this dessert symbolizing the final piece in the destruction of any amount of dignity left in, at the very least, the repertoire of american teenage girls. I honestly shudder to think that someone actually thought this girl was talented enough to warrant a record contract and I feel incredibly sad to think that she herself feels that the way she wails “Friday, Friday” over and over again doesn’t sound like a girl the same age mocking her insanely… can’t think of a disgusting enough word… incredulous, stupid, unsubstantial, hollow and kitsch song. I honestly mean no ill will towards the young woman, but all you fucking enablers that put her up to this: shame on you, the unbridled criticism that this girl will receive from everyone is on you for allowing this to happen. Also, thank you to the rapper in the video who has put rap back 20 years, what the fuck were you thinking? You are a grown ass man! You’re also a total dick for complaining about school buses probably dropping kids off at home while your stupid ass should be at work. I do honestly feel sorry for the girl.
